Masandi & Chapman continue pre-season goal scoring form, with both players grabbing a brace last time out!

We catch up with the gaffer to collect his thoughts on last nights star studded performance against Richmond Mavericks.

Last night we played a Richmond Maverick’s side who have played two of our division rivals drawing 3-3 with Barnard Castle and getting narrowly beat of West Auckland Reserves 4-3. I was fully expecting a difficult game, however in my opinion we never really got out of second gear and were totally dominate in a 7-2 victory.

But, was has impressed me the most this so far in pre season is the partnership Junior and Brett are forming. They have scored in all bar one pre season game and I fully expect them both to be battling out for leading goal scorer come the end of the season.

We are drawing close to the end of the pre season and not many weeks away from the start of our 23/24 league season. Which, I am highly anticipating, because I honestly believe this season is going to be the start of the Durham City Revolution. This season is going to be the season we push this club back up the league and with this squad the sky is the limit. We have three remaining pre season games with the last two being back at our home pitch at Leyburn Grove. So, let’s get down to the Grove to come see this new squad and give them your support. I am positive they will not disappoint!
